Black History Month Events

Connecting the Dots is the title of Vince Neal's Black History Month talk on Thursday, February 18 at 4:00 pm.  Neal, a local educator and lifelong student of African American history, will touch on key events from Dred Scott to Barack Obama.  Certain to have us thinking, "I didn't realize that!", Neal's overview will amaze us with how unexpectedly connected people and events actually are.

Telling THE Story is an opportunity for members of the community to share their stories of growing up in multi-cultural America on Thursday, February 25 at  4:00 pm.  Come prepared to listen and hopeully to share one memory of your past.  Together our individual memories help to make up our collective memory of our diverse culture.  Only by sharing our individual life stories does THE story of life begin to be fully known and celebrated.
